We can manufacture and supply both complex and relatively simple Membrane Keypads and Control Panels.

Many electronic systems need control panels or keypads which are custom designed and manufactured. These can be conventional control panels utilising a pcb with mechanical switches mounted behind a graphic overlay or a membrane switch panel. Both must meet ergonomic and aesthetic criteria as well as satisfying the more obvious parameters: robustness, electrical efficiency, chemical resistance, ingress protection (IP) rating, operational life and unit cost.

A membrane keypad has the advantage of the control circuitry, indicators, switches and components being contained within a multi-layered, flexible, plastic fascia and therefore not mounted on a pcb. The fascias can then for example, be placed onto metal backing plates, cabinet doors or plastic mouldings. The membrane circuitry can be terminated via a connector on a flexible tail. The length of tail and type of connector can vary to suit your application.

Membrane keypads can be either complex or relatively simple in concept and balance the design of your pcb.
